The Grand-Bornand is a village of the northern Alps. It is both a summer and winter resort enjoying an advantageous position at the foot of the Aravis mountain range
and offering large skiing possibilities and modern ski-lifts facilities.
Many other winter activities can be practiced, including cross country skiing, paragliding, walking...
There are plenty of bars and restaurants where you could taste the reblochon, the well-known local cheese.
Many entertainments are organised during winter and summer.
There are all useful shops in the village (some are open during autumn and spring).
The Grand-Bornand is also a well established summer holiday destination. There are plenty of paths across forests and high mountain pasture, a large swimming pool and numerous other activities available.
Children are well catered for with two crèches for the very small and many activities organised. The "au bonheur des mômes" children's festival takes place every year at the end of August.
